ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE REVIEWS
Academic Performance Reviews
Parental guidance in education during a child’s formidable years is critical to academic achievement. Recognizing this, HCA submits weekly progress reports as a barometer to keep parents abreast of their child’s academic successes and challenges.
Report Cards are issued once a quarter.
Parent/teacher conferences are formally conducted twice a year. However, if a parent has concerns that need to be addressed more immediately, we will arrange for the parent to meet with the teacher on an as-needed basis. This face-to-face interaction reinforces our commitment to foster healthy relationships.
Assessment and Reporting
Standardized Tests - The Stanford Achievement Test and the Olsat Lennon School Ability Test are administered each spring to students beginning in Kindergarten-5. The tests are scored by an independent testing agency. Reports comparing our students with national norms are distributed to parents. HCA students consistently score above the national average.
The expectation of academic excellence is a goal supported by 4 components: Progress Reports, Report Cards, Formal and Informal Parent/Teacher Conferences and Standardized Tests.
"The overall academic results that I have seen my son achieve in this school is one that I would highly recommend as an academic opportunity for other parents."
-E. A. Brooks, HCA Parent
